Frequently Asked Question
Import Blog Posts
Last Updated 4 years ago
The Import Tools in the WebBoss system allow you to import your blog from a previous platform (Blogger, WordPress, or Tumblr) to your new WebBoss website.
It is important to note that importing page data will only bring the text content across. Images and other media hosted on WordPress will need to be imported via the Import WordPress Media tool or uploaded manually if the previous blog host will be deleted or deactivated.
To import your blog follow the step by step instructions provided for your previous blog platform.
Once you have downloaded the XML file (please note this is not applicable for Tumblr) you can upload this by selecting the file in the relevant Import section. Then select if you would like the posts to be imported as drafts, if you would like to import comments, and which blog group it will be imported to.
Then click Import Blogger/WordPress Posts.
The post posts will be available to view or edit within the blog module.
