Frequently Asked Question
Using Under Construction Mode
Last Updated 4 years ago
Websites built using the WebBoss system are not automatically set to be Under Construction Mode. While you are building your website you can place it in Under Construction Mode, by clicking the Enable UC Mode button.
This will replace your homepage with a special page so that your website is hidden from visitors while you work. The page editor has been prefilled with basic information from the Business Information page, but you can edit this to create your own custom holding page for visitors to see.
If you are using Under Construction Mode you can Click the Link by Special Access Link to set a cookie so that you can view the site and not the coming soon page. You can also copy and send the link to clients or staff members to set the cookie to allow them to see the website while you build it.
Once the website is complete, click Disable UC Mode for it to be seen by the public.
