This section controls your basic website details such as:
  • The WebBoss system version
  • Website Name
This will be the name that is displayed in the title of your browser and will also show up in various other places throughout your website

Changing this affects how links are made through your site and will not change your URL unless DNS domain settings are updated. Use the dropdown menu to select the http:// setting for your URL. You can update the DNS using the check box below. If you are at all unsure about using this section, please contact support for advice.

  • SSL
All WebBoss websites come with a free SSL certificate, so you can enable the SSL in the Secure Your Website section. This will force https:// on your domain. Please note you must have an SSL certificate active and enabled on your account otherwise your site will display errors.

  • Website Status
The dropdown menu lets you select the status of your website, the options are In Progress - No SEO Index and Live- Accessible and SEO Indexable. Setting your site to In Progress will display your website but will stop (good) search engines from indexing your website until it is set to Live.

  • Static Domain
This is an experimental feature and should be used with care. A static domain is a subdomain where you can link your images/resources to increase page load speed. All images/resources should be sourced from static.yourdomain. Note this should be done after changing to your main domain. Also, for this to be effective your website should be set to www.yourdomain and forcing 'www.' should be enabled in the htaccess settings. If you are using an SSL, this may take a short time before images etc display correctly on your website. To enable the Static Domain, select the Enable checkbox. If you are unsure of using this setting, please contact us using a support ticket for more advice.
