No, you can upload images or other media within the Page Content Editor. Click on the Quick Upload button 
and you can browse your computer or device for the media you wish to upload. Select the file(s) and then click open, next you have the option to resize your images or else click Upload Files. A message will appear when your files have been loaded onto the system.
